Satwant condemns imposition of section 144 in Jammu 8/6/2015 12:14:11 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 5: National Conference Women Wing President Satwant Kaur Dogra today hailed the people of Jammu for demonstrating unity in their fight for another full-fledged AIIMS at Jammu and lauded their response by observing complete Bandh. While addressing the party functionaries at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan here today Satwant Dogra reiterated National Conference's support for a separate AIIMS in Jammu and hailed the proposal of party President Farooq Abdullah for all party delegation to Prime Minister for breaking the impasse. She condemned PDP-BJP government for imposition of section 144 to stop the peaceful protests and said that the public anger cannot be doused by imposition of section 144 or indulging in rhetoric. She said that government should realize its responsibility and take appropriate measures to diffuse the situation. She alleged that coalition is indulging in false propaganda and suppressing the voice of people of Jammu by using excessive force on the peaceful protestors. She said that BJP has turned highly intolerant to dissent and therefore, it is shamelessly indulging in trampling basic democratic rights of the people and cautioned the government against its highhandedness and said that anti-democratic measures would be effectively resisted.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
