2 kidnapped girls recovered

Rajouri, Aug 5: The two girls, who were allegedly abducted from different places here, were today recovered by police from Budhal and Samba areas.
Police sources said Dev Raj of Dharyal, which falls under the jurisdiction of Nowshera police station on Monday last informed police that his daughter studying in 12th class had been kidnapped by unidentified person. Accordingly a case of kidnapping was registered at Nowshera police station and after completing legal formalities police swung into action.
During investigation, police came to know that she was kidnapped by one Sunil Kumar, son of Sham Lal of Samba. Sunil stayed at Nowshera when his father was posted there in army. During his stay there, he allegedly developed a love affair with the girl, sources said.
On August 3, Sunil came to Nowshera and after allegedly kidnapping the girl took her to Samba. After specific inputs, a police party headed by SI Mohammad Altaf rushed to Samba and recovered the girl from Sunil's possession and also arrested him. Similarly, on August 2, one Mohammad Nazir of Kangota lodged a written report at Budhal that his daughter Khalida Begum went for cutting grass in the field but didn't come back. He alleged that Mohammad Sadiq, son of Sakhi Mohammad of Khourbani and eight others had kidnapped his minor daughter. Acting swiftly on the complaint, Budhal police after lodging a case FIR No 59/2015 under sections 366/109 of RPC swung into action. During investigation, police picked some suspected persons besides conducted a series of raids at different suspicious locations but all in vain, said SHO Kuldeep Raj and added today after specific inputs, police recovered the girl from Khourbani, Budhal from the possession of accused who was also arrested. "After legal formalities and medical examination of the girl, she was handed over to her parents," the SHO said.
