CM, DyCM condemn attack on BSF convoy | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 5: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today condemned the militant attack in Udhampur which left two BSF troopers dead and prayed for speedy recovery of those injured. "The chief minister has expressed grief over the killing of two soldiers in a militant attack," an official spokesman said. Condemning the attack, the Chief Minister conveyed his heart-felt sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls. Sayeed also wished speedy recovery to those BSF personnel who were injured in the incident. Meanwhile Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh has strongly condemned the firing incident which took place near Chenani in Udhampur district today. In a message, the Deputy Chief Minister said that these types of incidents would be dealt with sternly and the forces responsible for the same would be given a befitting reply. He said that these incidents are handiwork of anti-national elements who are hell bent upon to create disturbance in the State and their nefarious designs would not be allowed to succeed. The Deputy Chief Minister also appreciated the action of security forces due to their timely action the operation was concluded swiftly. He said that this type of brave action speaks for their commitment in containing the anti-national activities. Later, the Deputy Chief Minister also met a deputation of Union of Municipal Employees at Jammu led by Suresh Sharma. The deputation projected their various demands and prayed for their redressal. The Deputy Chief Minister while interacting with them assured that all their genuine demands would be redressed in a phased manner. |
