Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Kishtwar, Aug 24: The poor condition of toilets at Government Higher Secondary School Boys Nowshera in Rajouri explains why most of the most refrain from sending their children to government-run schools in J&K. The school's nearly 500 students and 40 staff members don't use the toilets which are virtually unfit for use. The washroom is also in shambles and causes lot of inconvenience to the students and their teachers, sources told Early Times. They said that water tanks, it appears, have never been cleaned, as mud and silt have accumulated at the bottom of these tanks. Sources said the matter was brought into the notice of the school management several times but to no avail. Principal of the school, Sukesh Prabha, could not be contacted for comment despite repeated efforts. |
