Avinash Azad Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 24: In yet another instance of pick-and-chose policy adopted by the State Government, two blue-eyed KAS officers have been given prize posting, even as many officers are waiting for adjustment for months together. Source told Early Times that transfer and posting up to the rank of Additional Secretary falls under Chief Minister's prerogative, but two ministers of BJP pushed transfer of the blue-eyed officers in cabinet and got them prize postings. "The transfers of the two officers were raised in the cabinet by the two BJP ministers (Deputy Chief Minister and Industries Minister). Both the officers were awarded with prize postings," sources said, adding that one of the blue-eyed officers managed pre-mature posting. "One officer was transferred and posted as Joint Registrar Cooperative, Jammu, while the other, who was posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua three months ago, was posted as Joint Director Industries due to the blessings of the Industries Minister," sources said. "BJP is only hurdle in development of the region due to adamant approach of few ministers from the party. Several administrative posts in Jammu region are vacant for months together. It was expected that the much awaited orders will be issued, but the Government left us in dilemma again. It seems that there will be no end to of our plight," they said. Interestingly, BJP cadre and some party leaders are also not happy with 'poor' performance of the party due to internal contradictions. "Union MoS Dr Jitendra Singh has expressed disappointment over the policies being adopted by state Government, especially BJP ministers," said a BJP leader, pleading not to be named. |
