Kichloo's confidant enjoys plum posting in BJP-PDP Govt | He is alleged to be enjoying posting at Marwah for 21 yrs | | Asif Iqbal Naik ET Report Kishtwar, Aug 24: Even though the people of Jammu and Kashmir voted whole heartedly for change in last year Assembly elections, but even after five months since the PDP-BJP coalition Government took over the reign of the state, nothing has been changed on ground as many officers who rule the roost during NC-Congress and other previous governments are continue to enjoy posting as per their choice. In one such alleged case, in charge Executive Engineer Roads & Buildings Division Marwah is enjoying posting in the same area since last 21 years. As per the details available with "Early Times", BJP minister Sunil Kumar Sharma who also holds the charge of Minister of State for R&B in Mufti Mohammad Sayeed government allegedly posted Mohammad Aslam Lone as Executive Engineer of R&B Division Marwah a couple of days ago. Lone who had a service of almost 21 years was first posted as JE in Marwah and after serving as JE for more than 10 years, he was promoted as AE and subsequently as AEE and posted in the same division till he was promoted at in charge Executive Engineer, but to the utter surprise newly elected MLA Kishtwar and MoS R&B who had been a strong critic of Lone, allegedly helped him for his posting as in charge Executive Engineer R&B, Marwah. He was posted there despite the alleged opposition by the party leadership and some contractors. The people have demanded his immediate transfer from Marwah. His appointment as in charge Executive Engineer R&B Division Marwah has come as a surprise for many including to local BJP and PDP workers who had allegedly filed serious complaints against him. A founder member of PDP also write a detail letter to R&B Minister Altaf Bukhari demanding his transfer from Marwah. It is pertinent to mention that government of Jammu and Kashmir in last over 20 years spent crores of rupees for construction of roads and buildings in remote areas of Marwah in Kishtwar District, but despite spending huge amount, nothing is visible on ground and majority of the areas in Marwah are still unconnected by means of roads, communication and electricity even after 68 years of independence. |
