Police cracks theft case, two held along with stolen valuables | | | early Times Report
Vijaypur Aug 24: Samba Police today claimed to have solved a theft case with the arrest of two accused besides recovering stolen items including gold jewelry, cash and mobile phones. Police said that accused have been identified namely as Surinder Kumar s/o Shiv Ram and Ved Prakash s/o Jagdish both R/O Samba and a case stands registered against them at P/S samba. According to police spokesperson, following the complaint from aggrieved one Ramesh Singh s/o Kabala Singh of Rakambtali lodged with police stating therein when he alongwith his family had gone to Jammu to attend a marriage function some burglars broke into their house and decamp with valuables and costly household gadgets. "Accordingly a case was registered in this regard and a police team led by Sub-Inspector Imran Khan, Incharge PP Rakhambtalli under the supervision of Varinder Singh, Dy SP HQ Samba and Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO P/S Samba started investigations, police said. Police team during investigations apprehended accused persons Surinder Kumar S/O Shiv Ram & Ved Prakash s/o Jagdish both R/O Samba in a theft Case FIR No. 150/2015 u/s 457/380 RPC P/S Samba. Police said that police recovered stolen property i.e. Gold ornaments weighing about 37 grams; two Gas Cylinders; one Water Motor; two Mobile Phones; two Blankets and Cash Rs.11200/- total valuing about Rs 01 lakhs and the accused also admitted that they had stolen during the intervening night of August 15/16from the residence of one Ramesh Singh S/O Kabala Singh R/O Rakambtali. Further investigation into the matter is going on and recovery of other thefts in other cases by these accused persons cannot be ruled out. |
