JKNPP stages protest over imposition of tax on air tickets | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 7: Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party (JKNPP) today stages protest demonstration against incumbent government for imposing tax on air tickets of helicopter at Katra. Activists assembled at Dogra Chowk Jammu condemning levying service tax 12.5 percent for the pilgrimage to Mata Vaisho Devi Darwar, Katra on Helicopters. They further said that the order was issued by BJP -PDP government and imposed by Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for the first time in the history of pilgrimage of devotees to Mata Vaishno Devi darbar. The Panthers Party activists led by Anita Thakur State General Secretary, Bansi Lal Sharma, Jagdev Singh raised sudden banner of revolt against the ruling BJP-PDP which has repeated the history of Mughal emperors when they imposed 'Jajyia' on Hindus and lost empire. The Panthers activists also made bonfire of the effigy of BJP-PDP government and demanded immediate dismissal of the government lest state is set ablaze by the nationalist and democratic citizens. They further said that party chief patron Prof. Bhim Singh declare that the matter shall be taken to before the Supreme of India to end religious discrimination in the state which has threatened security of the state under Modi-Mufti rule. Others who were present in the protest demonstration included Rakesh Gupta, Naresh Chib, Shanker Singh Chib and Parshotam Parihar. |
