Health Minister disappoints Adlash villagers Cancells inauguration of PHC 9/7/2015 11:54:20 PM Early Times Report Anantnag, Sept 7: Health Minister on Monday dashed the hopes of villagers of Adlash Magam here in this southern Kashmir to the ground after he cancelled the inaugural function of the Primary Health Center being constructed from last 13 years. Official sources said that Minister had agreed to inaugurate the Primary Health Center today. They said that R&B and Health department had made comprehensive arrangements for the function but all went in vain as the minister at the eleventh hours cancelled his visit. "Yes, Minister was scheduled to inaugurate Primary Health Center Adlash Magam and Sub District Hospital Seerhamdan but the program got postponed," Chief Medical Officer Anantnag, Dr Fazil Kochak confirmed to Early Times. A senior R&B department official too confirmed to Early Times that they have made arrangements for the inaugural function. "It took us complete two days for making the arrangements but the Minister spoiled it," he said. Sources inside security establishment revealed that Minister cancelled the visit due to strike. "Due to fear of strike and stone pelting concerned Minister cancelled the function," a senior police official said. Ministers took expressed dismay over the cancelation of inaugural function. "It has became routine of Ministers, legislators and government functionaries to waste public money," Khurshid Ahmad, a Adlash Magam resident said. Pertinently, it is here important to mention here that it took R&B department complete 13 years for constructing the 20 bedded building. The construction on the 20 bedded building was started in year 2003. Locals said that although the department has started the hospital in the new building but a single ISM doctor along few paramedical staff members is running the hospital.
