Jammu, Sept 7: The residents of Sainik Colony are facing scarcity of potable water for many months. Pleading anonymity residents said that there is acute shortage of drinking water supply through PHE, in Sainik colony and the residents of the colony, especially of sector E were badly affected. House no. 213 E belonging to P N Koul , and its surrounding houses do not get regular supply of water through connected pipelines which are very old and of less volume to meet the requirements of these badly affected residents. They further said that the water leakages and unauthorized connections have added this problem, due to non checking of domestic connections for supply of an adequate requirement of water for drinking and house hold purposes. They further said that PN Koul, who is the senior most resident of Sainik colony Sector E has requested many times to PHE higher authorities to solve the water supply problem in the entire colony, especially sector E in plugging up the water holes and replacement of old pipes where ever required, on immediate property. |
