Jammu, Sept 7: Police today claimed to have worked out nine theft cases registered with Police Station Udhampur and Rehambal respectively by busting a gang of inter district thieves.
Police spokesperson said that the accused have been identified as Bobby s/o Kartaru, Chand @ Raju @ Kaki s/o Naseebu, Bhanu s/o Mohan Lal, Iftekhar s/o Muzaffar Hussain, Ashoo s/o Madan Lal, both are residents of Magaini Udhampur, Nadeem Bani s/o Basharat Hussain, Abdul Momim s/o Niaz Ali, Jaidev Singh s/o Jodh Ram all residents of Chamba, Batote Ramban ,Mohd Simran s/o Bashir r/o Kasim Nagar Jammu, Ankush s/o Satish Kumar r/o Bakshi Nagar Jammu, Ravinder Singh s/o Bal Krishan r/o Dharamkund Ramban and Mohd Tariq s/o Mohd. Aslam r/o Bhagat, Katra.
"With the arrest of above mentioned accused, police said that it have solved several lodged under different cases which including 343/14 u/s 457/380/RPC, 307/15 u/s 457/380/RPC, 320/15 u/s 379/ RPC, 287/15 u/s P/S Udhampur and case under FIR No 06/15 u/s 457/380/RPC, 91/15 U/S 379/RPC, 98/15 u/s 457/380/RPC, 115/15 u/s 382/341 and FIR NO 123/15 u/s 379/RPC of P/S Rehambal.
"On their disclosure huge stolen properly which includes bikes, Scooty, LEDs, Computers and its accessories, mobile phones, dry batteries, cosmetics items and huge amount of cash, police said, adding, "apart from this, three unclaimed vehicles u/s 550 CrPC.
"The said criminal indulged in siphoning fuels and stealing tyres of vehicles parked in isolated places," police added.
Police added the recovery and arrests were made by a special team comprising of Inspector Arjun Singh Chib, SHO Police Station Udhampur, Inspector O.P Chib, SHO P/S Rehmbal, Sub Inspector Sohan Singhand other police officers /officials under the active supervision of Mohd Suleman Choudhary, SSP Udhampur, M.L Kaith SP Udhampur and Gourav Mahajan DySP (Hqrs) Udhampur. |
