Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 7: Principal sessions judge, Samba, M L Manhas today rejected the bail application of Mohan Lal, Meter Reader, and Kuldeep Singh, RE in the office of AEE PDD, Ramgarh, Samba, who were alleged to have duped the people worth lakh of rupees on the assurance of managing government jobs for them. According to the police case, both the accused who are posted in the office of AEE PDD Ramgarh had developed good relations with complainants and approached them with proposal that they can arrange government jobs for unemployed youth in state PDD department through their relations with some higher officers and thereby fraudulently and by deceitful means induced the complainants to pay Rs 15 lakh for arranging government jobs in PDD department some 3 years back and when complainant found that nothing concrete had been done, they filed a complaint and police registered FIR No 103/2015. The judge, after hearing the counsels for the accused public prosecutor for the state, observed that the offence allegedly committed by the accused pertains to misuse of official status while functioning as RE and meter reader in the office of PDD and deceitfully induced the complainants to provide money in sum of Rs 15 lakh for providing government job and SHO Bari-Brahamna Bharat Bhushan Sharma also told the court that due to non-cooperation of accused, police are unable to unearth the ramifications of the crime. Upon this, the court is of the view of the seriousness and gravity of allegations against the accused/petitioners found that they are needed for custodial interrogation by the investigating agency and dismissed the application.
