12.5% tax on Heli tickets by BJP-PDP government is a sort of "Jaziya"; Dr Manohar Lal 9/7/2015 11:52:58 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 7: Expressing serious concern and deep anguish over the recent action of BJP-PDP government for imposing 12.5% tax on heli tickets for Shri Vaishno Devi in Katra, Senior Congress Leader, Former Minister and General Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today slammed it as new gift to all yatris to holy shrine and also described it as 'Jaziya' by the state coalition. According to Dr Sharma the present BJP PDP government seems to repeat the ancient time of Mughals like Auranjzeb when there was yatra tax -the 'jaziya' on one particular community and others were provided with facilities to perform their religious activities.
