Influential encrocahes Govt land, authorities act as ‘mute spectator’ 9/7/2015 11:54:38 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Sept 7: Despite complaints lodged in regard to encroachment lodged with PWD and Municipal Corporation Udhampur (MCU) and the same highlighted in media section, the influential person Neeraj Gupta managed to get his construction done on the disputed pillars constructed on illegal by the Municipal Committee Udhampur and the PWD. According to locals who have raised the matter of encroachments by influential in Udhampur, the Municipal Committee Undhapur, Commissioner K K Chanotra and Executive Engineer PWD Rajesh Gupta have turned dumbbells to the case and paved way to for Neeraj Gupta to get his illegal construction done despite the matter was taken up with the two above mentioned officials. Meanwhile SP Mohan Lal Kainth also acted as 'cursory manner' and had sent a police party on the sport on a very short notice headed by SHO Arjun Singh Chib and the team returned empty handed claiming that none was giving written/formal complaint in regard to encroachment. Locals alleged all was done under well hatched conspiracy as none was willing to take action against influential business entrepreneur who started the construction work in late hours at around 1900hrs and ended up in the 0500 hrs.
