RAJOURI, Sept 7: A youth of village Targain falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Budhal who had gone to a pasture in Pir Panjal mountain ranges along with other family members either has reportedly either been kidnapped by some anti-national elements or has become prey to a wild beast. In this connection, a missing report was lodged at Kotranka police station on Sunday as the pasture namely Mandhugala situated in higher reaches of Pir Panjal mountain ranges falling under the jurisdiction of this police station. Reliable sources said that both the SHOs are in contact with each other to trace the missing youth identified as 22 years old Mohd Shafiq son of Munshi Khan and resident of village Targain. In his complaint lodged with the police, Munshi Khan said that his son on September 4 had gone to graze the live stock but didn't turn up at the Dhok (temporary house at pastures) till late in the evening. Family members and other present in the other Dhokes conducted searches for the youth for two days and when he could not be traced, a missing report was lodged with the police. Some inhabitants of different Dhokes apprehend that the youth might have been kidnapped by the militants as the Mandhugala pastures was once safe hiding place for the anti-national elements especially for mercenaries and is very close to Kashmir Valley (Shopian district).
