Minor allegedly raped , accused held 9/7/2015 11:56:01 PM Early Times Report Banihal, Sept 7: Police claimed to have arrested the rape accused who has committed crime upon minor girl in Sildhar Dhandrath Ramban on August 28 when the girls was alone in her house. "The accused has been identified namely as Kewal Krishna s/o Amar Singh of Sildar, police said. According to police, following the complaint lodged with police by the relatives of minor girl including father of girl alleging therein that during the night of August 28, local identified as Kewal Krishna s/o Amar Singh of Sildar found the girl alone at her house and raped her. Quoting family members, the police sources said, "The parents and a brother of the victim were out of home at Daisa Top to take care of their livestock when the accused took the benefit and barged into the house at late night on August 28 at around 11 pm when the village was sleepy and committed crime. They also alleged that on the next day a VDC member namely Kiki Singh s/o Chokidar Kartar Singh allegedly known to accused gave Rupees one thousand to girl for not disclosing the matter before anyone. Following complaint the police registered a case under FIR No 93/15 u/s 376/ 452 RPC at Police Station Ramban. After getting medical examination of the victim conducted on Tuesday at District Hospital Ramban and girl was handed over to family members while the statements of the victim were recorded before the Munsif Judge Ramban u/s 164. When contacted SHO Ramban Ajay chib said that a case has been registered in this matter at Police station Ramban and the accused has been arrested. He added further investigations are going on.
