Protests over lecturer shifting continue in HSS Dachhan

Kishtwar Sept 7: Week on protests over shifting of a lecturer from Higher Secondary School of Dachhan in Kishtwar District continue.
The students today held strong protest outside Tehsildar Dachhan office stating that the lecturer who taught them multiple subjects due shortage of staff has hit them hard especially when the academic session is at its peak and only few months were left in annual examination in winter zones of Jammu Division.
As per the details available with "Early Times", large number of students joined by some prominent citizens held a strong protest against the transfer of lecturer and raised slogans against Education Minister Nayeem Akthar, Commissioner Secretary Education Shaleen Kabra and Director School Education Jammu, added that the transfer of lecturer Milky Ram was done at the behest of local BJP leaders. They said that school already faces shortage of staff and said that instead of making his efforts to manage staff for the school, the Minister of State for Revenue, R&B Sunil Sharma partner to the demand of local BJP leadership and manage the transfer of the lecturer as a result of which the students are facing lot of problem to cover the syllabus as no other teacher, master or lecturer was available in the school to teach them. They said that instead of filling eight vacant posts of lecturers, the transfer of Milky Ram to Higher Secondary School Marwah adds to the miseries of students.
They said that at the time of protest held by the students over a week ago, they were assured by the concern officials that their demands will be forwarded to the concern department for immediate redressal and said that even after more than one week, the government fail to act on the public concern. They said that in case the demand for immediate cancelation of transfer order of lecturer Milky Ram, they will intensify the protest.
Meanwhile sources in education department informed the "Early Times" that honorable High Court had issued stay on the transfer of lecturer Milky, added that as and when the order copy will be received, the transferred lecturer will be allowed to continue on previous post.
It is pertinent to mention that the people of Dachhan hailing from Lopara, Trongi, Prangus, Honzar and Suid held a strong protest against the suspension of three Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) Department namely Rakesh Kumar posted I/C Salesmen, Lopara and Trongi, Bashir Ahmed Butt, I/C Salesmen, Prangus and Honzar and Zakir Hussain Shah, posted at Suid ration sale deport working as salesmen allegedly at behest of the local BJP leader as all the three suspended employees allegedly refuse to tow their lines.
