SC/ST Forum expresses disappointment over high court's order 10/25/2015 12:09:32 AM early times report Kishtwar, Oct 24: All J&K SC, ST Retired Employees Forum for Welfare of Under- Privileged (SCSTEFWUP) has expressed disappointment, over recent High court's order in which, promotion benefits under reservation have been denied. According to press release, in its monthly meeting held at Kishtwar, the SCSTEFWUP deliberated upon various problems faced by the SC/ST communities which require the utmost attention of the government's for their immediate redressal. All the members of the Forum with one voice expressed profound shock surprise and bitterness against the recent judgement of the High Court having set aside the reservation benefit in promotions to SC/ST and other reserved categories which the state government had granted through the Reservations Act/ Law of 2004 after having been passed by the Assembly/ Legislature with the due assent of the Governor of the State, as is mentioned in the said Act/Law. The Executive and Judiciary are to care for the Act or Law for its true implementation in letter and spirit which the legislature or parliament frames with constitutional norms and procedure. At present the entire population of reserved categories in the State which is almost one half of the total population stands awfully upset and alienated under the present scenario on being deprived of the deserving promotional reservation share which the Reserved categories had been getting since long past.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
