Jammu, Oct 24: Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's remark on twitter inflating particular community passions by demonizing Sangh has his piece of worth from RSS itself.
OMAR WROTE: So long as RSS is allowed to march, brandishing guns & swords, through Jammu city Mufti Sayeed is safe, bosses happy.
RSS REPLIED: While being in NDA government at centre as MoS foreign affairs when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister, Omar's 'well being' was taken care of by RSS at Nagpur where he used to be frequent visitor. He sojourned there, dined there, appreciated RSS views there, and was very "safe". What hurts him when Mufti is safe now?
BJP Nowhera MLA and former RSS Pracharak Ravinder Raina when asked for a comment on Omar's statement vehemently reciprocated this.
Raina said in NDA government, Omar used to be in Nagpur most of times taking sermons from RSS. Today, he is out of power in centre and state as well. "I see no harm for Mufti also being safe in RSS ," said Ravinder Raina.
It is still fresh to remind that Ravinder Raina is the one MLA from BJP who had barged into 'beef-eater' Langate MLA engineer Rashid's bastion at MLA hostel and roughed him up for having organized a beef party.
Raina further said that having lost his ground in Jammu and Kashmir, Omar himself knows that there is no acceptability left for him in the state and that's why he has jumped on twitter to inflame community passions.
"He seems to be beating about the bushes to make some inroads into Jammu domain, particularly in Muslim dominated belts by coming up with such statement , which he himself is not aware , to be leading to his low demeanor among the elite Muslims of Jammu even," said a community person wishing not to be named .
His recent tweet that - So long as RSS is allowed to march, brandishing guns & swords, through Jammu city Mufti Sayeed is safe, bosses happy.-has multi-faceted meanings attached to it, understood by different cadre of the people differently.
"If he (Omar) thinks he has thrown a spanner by demeaning Sangh and creating fear psychosis among the Muslims in Jammu, he is trapped on the wrong foot. He is trying to use his words as double-edged sword which are misfiring," mocked, Panun Kashmir chairman Ajay Chrungoo
Chrungoo further said that Omar, without going into the historical perspective of the occasion and without checking his facts jumped on the conclusion, which a person of stature of former chief minister should have avoided. Besides, he himself have been a witness to such practice in his six years term as chief minister where he was unable to find any fault into it,"
There are two approaches to fundamentalism and separatism in valley based political parties. One while being in coalition with centre to run governance in the sate sings the raga of nationalism, the other takes cudgels against India, said Chrungoo adding, "There is nothing new in what Omar has tweeted because it's now time for him to go anti-India". |
