200 Kg of forest produce seized 10/25/2015 12:11:01 AM early times report Banihal, Oct 23 : Two hundred kilograms of banned minor forest produce (MFP) was seized from a forest compartment in Banihal area of forest division Ramban which were hidden in the forest area in Sarbagni of Banihal. Reports from forest department said that on a specific information through reliable source a team of forest officials headed by Range officer Banihal Angraj Singh under the supervision of divisional forest officer Ramban Zuhaib chowdhary conducted a raid in forest compartment number 8 of Banihal under forest division Ramban and seized banned minor forest produce (MFP) in eight gunny bags of quantity 2 hundred kilograms. This operation was launched by the forest officials in the intervening night of 21 and 22 of October. All seized MFP were brought to Range office Banihal for further investigations and a case under relevant act has been registered and a hunt has been launched to nab the culprits.
