Masha Sadar Sabha seeks action against BJP workers who attacked SC procession

Ramnagar, Oct 24: Masha Sadar Sabha of tehsil Ramnagar has condemned the miscreants and hooligans who attacked a peaceful procession of SC community-who were protesting against the atrocities being committed on the Dalits in various parts of the country as also against the deprivation of reservation in the matter of promotions to government jobs.
Addressing the members of the Dalit Samaj at Ramnagar, President of Sabha Des Raj said that the peaceful procession SC and ST taken out in Ramnagar, was attacked by two BJP workers, who clashed with the protesters, hurling filthy abuses.
He said that the timely intervention of the police saved the situation from taking an ugly turn but regretted that the police did not take action against the culprits due to political patronage enjoyed by the felons.
Seeking immediate arrest of the hooligans, Des Raj warned to hold a massive demonstration of Scheduled Casts in Ramnagar on Monday of 26th October in case of police failed to book the culprits under law.
Holding the BJP squarely responsible for the attack, the gathering torched the effigy of the BJP and vowed to fight the policies of suppression and oppression against the SC community tooth and nail.
Earlier a huge procession of Scheduled Castes was taken out in Ramnagar to protest the burning alive of two Dalit youth in Faridabad and the brutal massacre of a Dalit boy in Gohana town in Haryana on the charges of theft of a pigeon.
The members were also protesting the deprivation of the community in the matter of reservations for the purpose of promotions. The speakers strongly denounced the statement of Union MoS V.K Singh for his nasty remarks and comparison of SC youth deaths with stoning of a dog.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Babu Ram, Happy, Bodh Raj, Jyoti Prakash besides others.aa
