Ashura procession taken out in Jammu 10/25/2015 12:43:39 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 24: Amid tight security arrangements, Ashura processions were taken out in Jammu on Saturday, in which thousands of people participated. Ashura procession commenced from Imam Bargah Peermitha under the banner of Anjuman-e-lmamia, Jammu. A Shabihey Zuljinah was taken out from the residence of Late. Haaji Rustam Ali Khan and a procession of Ashura were taken out from Imam Bargah Sofi Shah Peer Mitha. Thousands of mourners across the region participated to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS). During the route, mourners were reciting Nohas and a brief Majlis (congregations) where scholars delivered lectures narrating the tragedy at Karbala. After passing through traditional route, the procession culminated at Karbala complex Wazarat Road where Majlis Sharn-e-Ghariban was delivered by Moulana Syed Mohammad Abbass Rizvi an Iranian Scholar. A procession was taken out from New Plots by Anjum-e-Haidery New Plot that culminated and merged with the main procession at Imam Bargah Sofi Shah Peer Mitha. Ashura, the 10th day of Muharram, the day Imam Hussain (a.s), the grandson of Prophet Mohammed (s.a.w), and 72 of his companions laid down his life in KARBALA 1437 years back, battling against the tyranny ofYazid, the ruler and Caliph of Muslim Ummah at that time.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
