JAMMU, Oct 25 : Defending champion, Sainik Colony won the opening tie of the Super League round of the Senior Division Football League of DFA (District Football Association (DFA) Jammu, organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College ground, here today. Young Dharam Singh opened the account for Sainik Colony converting a penalty kick awarded in their favour in the 14th minute. The second goal came through yet another young footballer, Ishan Kumar in the 43rd minute, who helped the side take an invincible 2-0 lead at the end of first half of the play. After the breather, the game witnessed a dilly dallying battle till Tanpreet Singh brought in a ray of hope in the Vijay Club camp scoring a goal in 53rd minute. However, the well-equipped side of Sainik Colony added their third goal to the dejection of support camp of Vijay Club in the 56th minute. This time, Ankit Mehta beat the guard at the net. Today's match officiated by the technical penal including Rakesh Kumar, Moon Stephen, Rooney Yalap and Romesh Kumar. Prominent among those who were present in today super league tie, included chairman of the organising committee, RK Kholi, organizing secretary, Narinder Gupta, Sheikh Mehmood, Varinder Gupta, Amardeep Singh, Satpal Singh and Rajesh Sumbria.
