Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 25: Some influential PSIs (probationary Sub-Inspectors) of 2010 batch, who are heading police posts here, are unwilling to undergo tests and other requisite courses for their confirmation as SIs in the police department. After passing out from the police training academy, these PSIs were posted in different districts of the region. Those, who were influential, were made heads of police posts. While those, who were posted at "unimportant" places, completed their probation test and other requisite courses, those heading police posts in Jammu and other districts did not undertake any such exercise, police sources alleged. Because of these influential PSIs, the adjustment of all others was getting delayed, sources said and added that some of them had been confirmed for the past over six months or so. Sources said the influential PSIs were not taking the test of their confirmation because they "know that after their confirmation, they are likely to be adjusted in other districts and different wings of police". "They simply don't want to leave the police posts they are heading for obvious reasons," the sources added. |
