early times report JAMMU, Oct 25 : Police detained a notorious criminal involved in 11 criminal cases under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA), in the Samba district. Yudhvir Singh alias Bablu is a habitual and notorious criminal, who was involved in 11 criminals cases (five cases in Samba and six in Jammu district), a police officer said today. Singh was also dealing with supplying of drugs to the youth, in the two districts, he said. "He not only created terror among the peaceful citizens but also disturbed peace and tranquillity in the area", the officer said. He said that on September 28, Singh was arrested along with a loaded pistol as he was roaming in Vijaypur town to assassinate a members of his rival group. Singh was arrested and a case under Arms Act was registered in Police Station Vijaypur against him, he said. "He was also forming a gang of criminals, expanding it and had become a role model for the youth who were interested in indulging in criminal activities", he said. |
