| Sainik Colony residents allege illegal parking, traffic hazards | | | Early Times Report
jammu, Oct 25: Residents of Sainik Colony, have brought into the notice of Registrar Co-operative Societies, administrative officer, Sainik Co-operative House Building Society about large number of empty as well as loaded trucks parked at the nook and corner during the night hours , the authenticity of which remain unidentified and may lead to problems.
Such types of parking of unidentified vehicles pose great threat to the residence of Sainik Colony. For safety and security of the residence of Sainik Colony, this practice needs to be stopped in view of present security scenario, they have alleged. They further allege that during morning hours, it has been noticed that number of buses particularly school going buses move in the Sainik Colony in the interior routes in rough and negligent manner amd in very fast speed without any restrictions posing great threat to safety and security of the children as well as pedestrians. These buses while moving roughly some time damage the culverts constructed on the road or the corner of interior roads. On objection from residents, the drivers of these vehicles also do misbehave and are rude to talk. In view of the above, the Sainik colony residents have requested the Registrar Co- operative Societies and chairman, Sainik Co-operative House Building Society Ltd, to take up the matter with concerned agencies for prevention of parking of trucks and restrict the movement of heavy school going buses in the interior routes of Sainik Colony, Jammu for the safety / security of the residents of the areas.
