Tourism-cum-Cultural Festival concludes

Bhaderwah Oct. 25: With the colorful cultural folk performances and famous songs of bollywood singer and producer Kamal Khan, the 2-day long Bhaderwah tourism-cum-cultural festival concluded here today. The festival was organized by the Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA) in collaboration with Tourism Department Jammu and other line departments. CEO, Bhaderwah Development Authority Bal Krishan , SDM Bhaderwah Mohd Anwar Banday , other police and civil officers were also present in the concluding ceremony.
On the concluding day, a cultural programme was also organized at various tourist resorts of Bhaderwah which included Bhaderwahi Dhaku Dance, Bhaderwahi folk songs, Dogri songs, Punjabi songs and dance. Musical performances by the artists of Song & Drama Division Jammu,local artists of Bhaderwah, theatre artists, school children were highly applauded by the audience. Mementos and medals were presented by the chief guest to those participated in the festival and established their stalls for dissemination of information regarding various welfare schemes being implemented by them, various educational institutions.
Speaking on the occasion Bollywood singer and producer Kamal Khan said the tourism being the back bone of the State's economy is strengthened by the efforts made by the State and Central Governments by creating tourism infrastructure and bringing more areas on the tourism map. He said Bhaderwah, being one of the favorite tourist destinations of the State requires more unexplored areas to be covered under tourism related activities.
Earlier during performance on stage Bollywood singer Kamal Khan invited CEO BDA Balkrishan and other organizers of the event to dance with him on stage. Kamal Khan said it is for the second time he arrived at Bhaderwah festival to perform and added that he loves the people of Bhaderwah valley too much.
