All JK lecturers forum holds meet

Udhampur, Oct 25: An emergency meeting of the District Udhampur unit of All J& K Plus 2 Lecturers Forum was held at Udhampur today under the chairmanship of Ashok Sharma, the District President. In the meeting the President termed as unfortunate the incident that occurred in the office of the CEO, Udhampur on 10th. October which resulted into the alleged scuffle between Principal Pawan Kumar Singh and some clerical staff of the office of CEO. The President demanded a thorough and impartial inquiry into the incident to bring out the facts and suitable action against those found guilty. The meet also appealed to all the officers and officials of the School Education Department to remain united and respect the dignity of one another so that such incidents can be avoided.
The participants at the meeting also expressed shock and surprise over the reports of alleged mass copying in exam. Centre constituted for the conduct of HSP-II Exam ( Pvt. Bi -annual) Winter Zone at HSS, Pancheri on Oct 23. In the meeting, Janak Singh, the officiating Superintendent and Kuldip Singh, Dy.Superintendent deployed at the Centre on that day informed that out of 46 candidates, there were 31 candidates at the said centre and the Supervisory staff had already warned the candidates against resorting to copying in the exam hall.
They said that the exam started at 10.45 A.M and the Vigilance Team from JKBOSE arrived at about 11.30 A.M. saying that the Board team started addressing the candidates in loud and rude manner and conducted thorough search and only three candidates were found in possession of printed/written material but no candidate was caught copying red handed. They wondered how this incident can be termed as 'mass copying'.
They termed the reports of mass copying as totally baseless and malicious aimed at defaming the supervisory staff. They demanded thorough inquiry into the incident so as to cull out the truth.
