JEWA defers strike till December 5 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 25 : All Jammu And Kashmir Judicial Employees Welfare Association (JEWA) has deferred their strike till 5th of December following an agreement with the high court regarding their various long pending demands. According to press release, the demands including implementation of the pay commission as per Supreme Court direction oblique judgment, timely promotion of staff, regulation of adhoc employees, framing of seniority list, creation of post for newly created districts, uniform staff strength for every Court, transfer policy and unnecessary qualification rider on promotions. It further stated that the chairmanship of state president Aijaz Ahmed Wafaie and provincial president Jammu Mangat Ram Parihar had earlier called to observe 2 day Lockout Strike throughout state in subordinate courts on October 26th and 27 against the callous and bizarre attitude of honorable High Court and state government towards their genuine long pending demands. The decision to delay the strike was taken in the meeting of JEWA held at Jammu and Srinagar in full house of an Association with other senior member of the state body. The committee constituted by Chief Justice of J and K headed by MK Hanjura senior most district and session judge of the state and Mohammed Yusuf Akhoon principal secretary to chief justice J&K give full and final Assurance to Association for fulfilling the genuine demands all the employees of judiciary in time Bond period.
