| Jammu, Oct 26 : Workshop on Popularization of Science activities under ST Plan for the teachers of mobile schools of J&K begun at Government Women College, Parade, Jammu on Monday. According to press release, the inaugural function was presided by Prof. Renu Goswami Principal GCW Prade Jammu whereas HR Pakhroo Joint Director Training/Principal State Institute of Education were Guest of Honour. The Workshop is the joint venture of Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, Noida and National Council for Urban and Rural Development Society (NCURDS), Jammu. The main purpose of the programme is to foster scientific temperament among the teachers and main stress on "Learning by Doing" in discharging effective teaching learning process that ultimately will benefits student communities. About 50 participants from Jammu, Kathua, Samba and Ramban district participated in the said workshop. While in first phase teachers from Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur and Reasi had already participated in the camp. |
