Early Times Report
jammu, Oct 26: In the backdrop of the allegations and counter allegations, Inspector Vijay Choudhary has written a letter to the Director General of Police (DGP) to clear his position and has highlighted the criminal record of his brother-in-law, Jatinder Singh s/o Harnam Singh of Sainik Colony, who has levelled serious allegations against him.
Singh has accused Choudhary of harassing, beating and implicating him in false cases.
"My so called brother in law (Singh) always pleads innocence while levelling allegations against his wife on the pretext that she always intimidates him due to his brother (Choudhary) being a police officer. I want to clarify that he (Singh) was involved in a shootout at Channi Himmat. A case u/s 307 RPC FIR No 97/2007 stands registered against him at P/S Channi Himmat. Apart from this a FIR No 342/2003 u/s 452,332 RPC stands registered against him at P/S Gandhi Nagar. FIR No 57/1998 u/s 504,448,147 RPC stands registered against him at P/S Ramgarh, FIR No 165/89 u/s 307/34 RPC at P/S Nowabad and series of FIRs are registered against him in different other Police stations in the Jammu region. He has a criminal mindset and has defamed our family," sates the letter written by the Inspector Vijay Choudhary.
Pertinently, mudslinging, allegations and counter allegations were levelled between the families of Inspector Vijay Chouhdary and Jatinder Singh after Chouhdary's sister Rita Choudhary filed a case of domestic violence and torture against her husband (Jatinder Singh) and her in laws. She lodged complaint against her husband and in laws of harassing her to get in more dowry in shape of cash. The tension between both the families reached at peak when she filed a case against her father in law preventing him from selling the house at Sainik Colony which she claimed had been constructed out of her hard earned money. Later, Jatinder lodged a complaint against his wife and his brother-in-law Inspector Vijay Choudhary with the Crime Branch alleging that Rita (his wife) had managed a job in education department by manipulating her certificates and Vijay did not submit his graduation degree in police department when he was appointed as Sub-Inspector.
