Hostile situation forces NIA team return empty handed from valley | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 26: Since the valley has been been receptive and witnessing unrest due to one or the other pretext and this 'hostile and unfriendly situation' has forced the National Investigation Agency (NIA) team to return empty handed from valley where it had gone to arrest some other suspects affiliated to terror outfit Laisker-e-Toiba (LeT). Pertinently after the taking over the case of Udhampur terror attack of August 5 and the disclosures of Pak based Lashker ultra Naved Yaqub who was arrested alive after the attack, the NIA team has visited Kashmir valley many a time to authenticate disclosures made by LeT ultra Naved. Pertinently NIA team during its investigations has issued non bail able warrants against Over Ground Worker (OGWs) of Lashker terror outfit namely Faiyaz Ahmed Ittoo alias Faiyaz welder and faiyaz Ahmed Ashwer alias Setha and has conducted raids in different areas. The NIA even has announced an award of Rs 2.0Lakhs on each head against the two absconding suspects. Meanwhile Special NIA Court in Jammu extended 14 days remand of Pak based Lashker terrorist Naved Yaqub, his driver Khurshid Ahmed Bhatt, Shoukat Bhat and Shabzar Ahmed. Here it needs to mention two BSF personnel were martyred, a militant was killed while the one Naved Yaqub was arrested alive during an attack on BSF convoy on August 5, near Samroli in Udhampur district. Pertinently at least six people whose names were revealed by arrested Pakistani militant Mohammad Naved, alias Usman were detained by police and NIA Team from Kashmir during raids conducted on the disclosures of Naved on August 10 this year. |
