| Bootlegger held with 46 pouches | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 26: Police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered 46 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession during a naka laid by Jhajhar Kotli Police. A case under relevant section stands registered in this regard.
"The accused ahs been identified as Bachan Singh (50) of Chhurta Tehsil Dansal Jammu, police sources said.
Police sources said that Police Party of Jhajjar Kotli Police Station led by Inspector Ravinder Singh, SHO Jajjhar Kotli under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bushan at around 1145 hrs during naka checking at Jhajjar Kotli intercepted a person for his suspicious movements.
Sources said that during search of his belongings and personal frisking police team recovered 46 pouches of J&K Desi whisky from the possession of accused Bachan Singh.
A case under FIR no. 126/2015 under section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered and further investigation have been started. |
