Modi Govt's failed foreign policy leading to continued ceasefire violations: Manjit

Vijaypur, Oct 26: Former Minister and JKPCC General Secretary Manjit Singh on Monday condemned failure of Modi's government in foreign policy and surrender before the Pakistan's aggression regarding border firing on the International Border where innocent people are being killed.
"I have visited the border villages including Kesso, Govindgarh, Nathwa, Kamoor, Nanga and others and interacted with the Pak firing affected people," said Manjit Singh, in a press statement and added there is worst condition of border residents due to unprovoked firing by the Pakistan. Entire night, Pakistan fired mortar on the civilian areas in which four to five cattles were killed and equal numbers of cattles were injured," he said. Houses have also developed cracks due to heavy shelling in the border villages. He said the people along IB have been facing problem because of failed foreign policy of Modi Government.
Instead of building pressure on Pakistan, he said, the PM has succumbed before them leading to the cease fire violations in which innocents are being killed. "In the absence of effective foreign policy, the border with Pakistan have been on boil and border people bearing the brunt with continuous firing in the civilian areas," he said. He also demanded reservation to the border youth in the recruitment like to the people of LoC. He said that the Government should insecure the cattles of the border residents with Rs 1 lakhs.
He said that those people who suffered injuries in Pakistani firing should be given Rs 5 lakhs for minor injuries, Rs 10 lakhs for serious injuries and in case of casualty the Government should give Rs 20 lakhs.
