| Dental check-up camp held at Walmart Jammu | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu Oct 26: Indian Dental Association (IDA) Jammu, in association with Colgate organized a two day dental check-up camp at Best Price Jammu, a Walmart venture.
More than 250 people were examined during this camp and free Colgate toothpaste and toothbrushes were distributed. Dr.Gautam Sharma, Dental Surgeon at University of Jammu and Secretary IDA Jammu was resource person on the occasion. He demonstrated the correct tooth brushing methods and advised the parents to inculcate the oral hygiene techniques in their children at an early age. He also warned the participants against the hazardous effects of tobacco use and motivated the tobacco users to shun this habit. He has conducted more than 100 dental checkup camps which included camps for Rag-Picker children, at Orphanages and Old-age homes etc. Sandeep Sharma, Manager HR, Walmart Jammu coordinated with Sumeet. Gandotra Oral Care Consultant with Colgate to successfully conduct the dental checkup camp. Colgate India usually selects dentist who are working in the field of Public Health dentistry to conduct these awareness camps.
