| LWC holds meet | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Oct 26: A meeting of Ex. Legislator’s Welfare Council was held at MLA Hostel Jammu under the chairmanship of Qazi-Jalal-u-Din Ex.MLA in which members discussed various issues pertaining to the present political situation of the State and problems faced by the Ex. Legislators.
At the very outset, two minutes silence was observed in respect and remembrance of the all those Ex. Legislators and MPs who left for heaven recently.
The Ex. Legislators strongly condemned all those forces disturbing peace, unity and communal harmony of the state as well as country. They appealed to all the section of the society to remain vigilant and united to defeat the nefarious design of anti- social, anti-national elements in order to protect the Secular fabric of the state.They also expressed their concern with regard to withdrawal of security from the those Senior leaders and Ex. Legislators who put their life in danger at that time when the militancy was at its zenith with the State facing political instability. They criticised the present dispensation for compromising with the life of the senior leaders and ex-legislators making it quite difficult rather impossible for them to discharge their social duties without proper security cover.

MLA (Secretary ),Rattan Lal Gupta Ex.MLC,Kashmir Singh Ex.MLA,Brij Mohan Sharma Ex.MLC,Abdul Wahid Ex. MLA,Sagar Chand Ex. MLA, Smt. Dupinder Kour Ex. MLC,and Dr.Chaman Lal Ex. MLA and others.
