Security beefed up in & around Ramban ahead of Modi's Visit | | | Early Times Report BANIHAL, Oct 31: Overall security has been beefed across the mountainous Ramban District as the countdown for scheduled visit of Prime Minister Modi' visit started. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting the state for formal inauguration of Baglihar Project Phase -II and for laying the foundation stone of four lane project of Udhampur Banihal sector of the highway. In the wake of the VVIP's movement in district, taking security and synergized efforts for better coordination the district administration Ramban have ordered to all the district and sectoral officers to not leave the station. "The administration has instructed the officers who are currently on leave to report back to district headquarter with immediate effect, an official said on anonymity. Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ramban Ravinder Sadhu vide order no ADDC/R/2015-16/ 432-6 dtd 30/10/2015 stated: in view of the ensuing visit of VVIPs to district Ramban the leave of all district and sectoral officers who are currently on leave is here by cancelled with immediate effect and they are directed to report back to the district headquarter immediately. ADDC further has instructed that no officer or official shall leave the district headquarter without prior permission of DDC Ramban or other authorized officer. Meanwhile tight security and other arrangement have been put in place within the district in particular at Baglihar Project and four lane project. Sources also said that the work on the venue for selected for PM's rally too is on. It is pertinent to mention that PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Ramban for the inauguration of Baglihar Stage II and for the laying of foundation stone of four lane project. |
