JAMMU, Oct 31: While a police officer is at present the DIG of three places in the valley, he is said to be finding it hard to do justice with even one of them.
This is for the first time that a police officer has been given charge of three important postings in the restive valley, according to police sources.
Central Kashmir DIG Ghulam Habas Bhat was first given additional charge of DIG, traffic police, as per government order No 492 on the transfer of Alok Puri. Then he was given the charge of DIG, North Kashmir range, too as per another order No 493. This way, he is holding the charge of three places as DIG.
DIG, North Kashmir range, Gareeb Dass is at present serving as an election observer in the ongoing Bihar polls. Earlier, Viplav Kumar was holding the additional charge of this post.
Sources said Bhat was finding it hard to run the affairs smoothly at three places. Under the prevailing circumstances, he was unable to do justice with any of his three "postings", the sources added.
