Soon after Madhav landed in Srinagar, he drove towards the CM's Gupkar residence and held detailed meeting with him, Government sources told Early Times. "The focus of the meeting was to ensure the success of Modi's rally in Srinagar on November 7 as it will be the PM's first rally in the Valley after the PDP and the BJP formed the coalition Government in the state," said a BJP leader. Modi's last Kashmir rally was held at the city's Sher-e-Kashmir stadium in December last year. Modi is likely to announce a major development package for the state as Mufti has stated that the PM's visit would be "path-breaking" and provide the "much-needed impetus" to the development agenda of the coalition Government. |
