BJP a divided house!

Early Times Report
Srinagar, Oct 31: Only three BJP Ministers attending a crucial party meeting in Srinagar on Saturday ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally on November 7 has triggered the speculations about all is not well within the BJP.
The National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ram Madhav, who arrived in Srinagar this morning, met his old friend, separatist turned mainstream politician Sajad Gani Lone here.
Madhav, according to the sources, told Sajad to ensure that his workers participate in the PM's rally and it should look like a BJP show.
Ram Madhav also chaired a meeting of the BJP leaders in Srinagar this afternoon and stressed on them to put up a united face. Despite meeting being important and crucial only three BJP Ministers, Deputy CM Dr Nirmal Singh, MoS Priya Sethi and Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Prakash Ganga were present on the occasion. However other Ministers holding important portfolios stayed away for the reasons best known to them.
Insiders revealed that State BJP leaders had been informed well in advance about the meeting but they didn't make it to the venue. State BJP president Jugal Kishore Sharma, Ashok Koul and a few Kashmir based leaders attended the meeting chaired by Madhav.
With just a week left for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Jammu and Kashmir, Madhav is trying his best to regroup the State BJP leaders to dispel the notion that party leaders are treading different paths.
Insiders revealed that BJP leaders are well aware about the fact that their coalition ally Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is working hard to ensure that Modi's rally is a big success as the Prime Minister is visiting the State on the invitation of the Chief Minister and PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Sources said that a few BJP Ministers had given a lukewarm response when it was announced that PM Modi would visit Jammu and Kashmir on November 7 as it came as news to them. "As far as Kashmir is concerned BJP leaders cannot do much as they have no foothold in the Valley. The Kashmir based leaders of BJP are still new to people and one cannot expect much from them," opined a politician.
Ram Madhav, who is the main architect of the PDP-BJP alliance, also knows it very well that he would have to depend more on his friends rather than his party leaders. "Madhav in November 2014 had ensured that friends like Sajad Lone make PM's rally in Srinagar a success. This time around Madhav knows that he can count on PDP besides Sajad and others. The purpose of his Srinagar visit ahead of PM's rally was to regroup the BJP leaders to put the speculations about BJP being a divided house to rest," source said.
He said that Madhav also took a note about BJP Ministers skipping the important meeting but he didn't make a mention of it.
