early times report Udhampur, Oct 31: Members of NGO Jiyo Aur Jeene Do (JAJD) conducted a candle march for condolence on the untimely demise of two young brothers who lost their lives on Dhar Road in a tragic road accident on the other night. The members gathered at Shah Market here today and prayed for the peace of departed souls and then marched within the city limits. Speaking on the occasion, president of NGO Tariq Shah said, "We pray to almighty to give strength to the family to bear the loss." "At the same time, we appeal to the district administration to maintain the traffic system in Udhampur which is in very bad condition and a major reason behind such accidents, he said adding, "In the year 2015 more than 200 people have lost their life on road due to such accidents till now." He said that administration needs to control traffic at MH Chowk, Venus Chowk and other such areas of the too crowded. "We appeal to the administration to strictly make people follow traffic rules, he added and demanded that under age young boys and girls should not be permitted to drive. Along with Sanjay, Baldev, Varinder, Sahil also addressed the candle march activists. |
