| 2 candidates from quashed list serve as teachers in Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Oct 31: Despite quashing of Rajouri's teacher list by the State High Court in 2013, two candidates figuring in the list were serving as permanent teachers in two primary schools in nexus with officials of concerned ZEO office.
Pertinently , State High Court had quashed the appointment list of 295 teachers in Rajouri district and the candiadtaes have now approached the Apex Court for directions but these two candidates are serving as permanent teachers and since then and have also withdrawn their salaries till May,2015.
Reliable sources have identified the candidates as Kasturi Lal and Ashok Kumar working as teachers in government primary schools at Devak and Karma under the jurisdiction of Lower Hathal Education Zone in Sunderbani tehsil.
"The matter was brought to my notice recently by some people, the concerned Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) has been directed to investigate the matter with immediate report to my office" said Ch Altaf Hussain, Chief Education Officer.
Sources added that CEO has directed the ZEO to immediately terminate both the teachers and don't allow them to enter the school premises.
Chief education officer said that first he has demanded inquiry report from the concerned ZEO and after verification and if found guilty suitable departmental action under law will be taken against these candidates.
He further said that as Vimla Devi has taken over the charge of ZEO only on yesterday (Friday), it will take 1-2 days for her to file the report.
The nexus between the teachers and officials from concerned ZEO office can't be ruled out in this matter and it needs an depth investigation, said a teacher seeking anonymity. |
