JAMMU, Oct 31: Following earnest request from Hotel & Restaurant Association (HRA), Katra, the Former Secretary Tourism, Govt of India and Chairman Cum Managing Director India Tourism Development Corporation, Parvez Dewan, has accepted to hold the chair of Honorary Patron-in-Chief of Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra.
In a press statement issued today, President HRA Katra Rakesh Wazir accompanied with Chairman of the Association Shyam Lal Kesar, General Secretary Harish Kumar Dubey, Vice President Madan Aggarwal and other office bearers presented that formal letter to Mr Pervez Dewan in a formal occasion.
President HRA, Katra stated that Mr Dewan's patronage will prove to be an asset to the association and added that association will try to get benefit from his vast experience of the Tourism line including his experience as Secretary Tourism, Govt.of India and as Commissioner/Secretary Tourism J&K Govt besides experience as Member Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. Other members of HRA Katra, said that Tourism & Hotel Industry in particular will always remain indebted to Mr Dewan for starting all big Festivals of state including Jammu Mela, Mansar Mela, Shiv Khori Mela, All India Devotional Song Competition and other initiates to bring Katra on national tourism map. |
