Atleast 36 injured in two separate road mishaps in Rajouri

Rajouri, Nov 4: Atleast l36 people including some girl students of Govt Degree College (GDC) Nowshera were injured in two separate road accidents in Nowshera and Sunderbani of Rajouri district here today afternoon.
Police sources said around 29 persons mostly college students including girls were injured when the minibus bearing regd no.JK02H-9278 turned turtle near village Seri on Nowshera-Sunderbani link road approximately five kilometer from Nowshera town at around 1500 hrs.
"As the news about the accident reached at Nowshera a police party headed by officiating SHO along with team of doctors and ambulance was rushed to the spot and started rescue operations.
Meantime Ravinder Raina, MLA Nowshera also reached the accident site and supervised the rescue operation. He also visited the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Nowshera and directed hospital management to provide free treatment as well as medicines to the injured.
According to some injured, driver lost control on the vehicle due to overloading which resulted it to turn turtle while negotiating a turn. Meanwhile Police have registered a case in this regard and started the investigations.
Yet in another road mishap a rashly driven Tavera car hit the two pedestrians afterwards the car hit the road side boulder resulting critical injuries to seven occupants of vehicle. The injured were shifted to nearby Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sunderbani.
Meanwhile SHO, Dharamshal Police Station Haji Mohd Bashir said that seven relatives were travelling in a Tavera car bearing regd no JK02BD-7344 on way to Jammu from Mendhar (in Poonch district).
"As the car reached near Balshama driver Nazarat Hussain (19) failed to control the over-speeding vehicle which hit Rattan Singh (60) and then Bimla Devi and finally hit a big tree and boulder resulting in serious injuries to all occupants, police said.
POlice added besides driver Nazarat others who received serious injuries have been identified Zatoon Bi, Anjum , Mohd Nayeem, Masood Begam ,Haseena Begam and Nazir Ahmed.
Meanwhile Police have registered a case FIR no 113/15 u/s 270 & 337 RPC and started investigations.
