Jammu, Nov 4: In a PIL alleging transfer of 623.10 kanals of forest land to JDA for the construction of a colony at Sidhra, a high court division bench of Justice Bansi Lal Bhat and Justice B S Walia directed additional secretary of housing and urban development department (HUDD) to file supplementary affidavit within two weeks or appear in person.
The bench observed that on the last date of hearing, the HUDD additional secretary was directed to file fresh affidavit stating therein the present status of the land with the break up having regard to the person/persons in possession of the land and the extent of their possession, but he has not filed the same yet not. After hearing the case, the bench directed the additional secretary to file the supplementary affidavit within two weeks failing which he shall appear in person. The petition has been filed by JKNPP supremo Bhim Singh. (JNF) |
