RKJ, JKAACL felicitate eminent urdu poet | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 4. In a series of programme Jharokha commenced by Radio Kashmir Jammu and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today felicitated a prominent Urdu writer Vidhya Rattan Aasi in JHAROKHA-9 in a function held at K.L Saigal Hall, Jammu today In order to highlight the background of Aasi, Khalid Hussain, a renowned Punjabi and Urdu writer presented a detailed paper on the life and literary pursuits of Vidya Rattan Aasi. While reading the paper on his life, Khalid Hussasin recited a number of urdu gazals of Aasi and kept the audience fully occupied in an environment of infinite flight replete with pleasantness all along making his paper presentation excellently well-nit distancing the audience from the usual monotony of paper listening by them. Earlier Dr. Javaid Rahi, Chief Editor, Gojri read out a citation which was presented to him on his felicitation alongwith shawl and a bouquet. Vidya Rattan Aasi also recited some of his classic poetry of unique style which kept the audience spell-bound and also shared some of his sweet and sour experiences of his life with the audience which was followed by an interaction. Delivering his presidential address Chattar Pal congratulated Vidya Rattan Aasi for the respect and felicitation being given to him by Radio Kashmir Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in recognition of his contribution in the literature especially to the Urdu poetry Earlier delivering his welcome address, V.K Sambyal Director, Radio Kashmir Jammu expressed his gratitude to the Jammuties, Writers, Artists fraternity who have made this programme so popular and a grand success Among prominent were present N.D.Jamwal, Gianeshwar Sharma,. T.R. Sharma , Padamshree Rajinder Tiku, Swami Antar Neerav, Hardeep Singh Gill, Raj Kumar Beharupia, Mushtaq Kak, Some Raj Taroch, Liaqat Jafri, Dharmesh Nagotra, Sunil Sharma, Pawan Sharma. Kamal Krishan, Programme Executive, Radio Kashmir, Jammu Conducted the proceeding of the programme where as Dr. Arvunder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu presented a vote of thanks. |
