JAMMU, Nov 4: Mandeep Singh shall be playing against Rohit Chib in the final of the junior snooker event, slated for a later date, in the ongoing 23rd Jammu District Billiards and Snooker Championship at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the semifinals, played today, Mandeep defeated Kanav Manva in straight frames 3-0. Except for the opening frame, Kanav could not do well in rest of the game thereby making it an easy going for Mandeep. The score: 53-32, 41-08, 54-19.
In other semifinal, Rohit Chib outplayed Vipan Malhi in a close contest which however decided in straight frames 3-0 (54-37, 55-54, 48-22).
Meanwhile, in the senior snooker competition, Sharan Singh and Shubhneer Sharma won their respective matches to move into the next round.
The Results: Sharan Singh bt Rohit Chib 3-0 (88-44, 56-38, 64-23; Shubhneer Sharma bt Jaswinder Singh 3-0 (43-30, 73-39, 58-31). |
