Jammu Nov 4: Fortune Hotels present special and diverse cuisine to Jammuites under the theme of Tangra Kitchen Promtion , a food promotion at Orchid and Earthen Oven restaurant at Fortune Inn Riviera, Jammu.
According to spokesperson, the food event is showcasing the best of 'Hakka Style' Chinese food with Indian touch, the food festival commencing from November6- 15.
Sharing details of special name 'Tangra, spokesperson said, "The name is driven from a region in east Kolkata that traditionally housed a large number of tanneries owned by people of Hakka Chinese origin." "Over the past several decades, it has served as the location of Calcutta's Chinatown. Food from Tangra is a distinct variety of traditional Hakka Chinese cuisine adapted to Indian ingredients and the Bengali palate, he said adding, "this has spread to the rest of India, along with the recipes earlier unique to Tangra and also is known as 'Hakka Style" Chinese food.
Speaking on the occasion, Gaurav Singh Manhas, General Manager, Fortune Inn Riviera, said ''Tangra Kitchen Promotion" will be a mouth-watering blend of Chinese cuisine and Kolkata's local flavours. |
