RR organises afforestration drive 11/16/2015 11:33:20 PM EARLY TIMES REPORT Udhampur, Nov 16: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Kalal under aegis of counter insurgency uniform Force Headquarters, Reasi in conjunction with the students of Government Primary School Kalal, Government Middle School Seri and Government Middle School Deeing made an endeavour to improve the flora in the region. The Battalion conducted the afforestation drive by sensitizing the younger generation for the trees planted by them under 'own a forest drive' to spread the message of 'Cleaner and Greener India'. A total of 122 students participated in the afforestation drive. The afforestration drive in conjunction with forest department has resulted in plantation of more than 400 fruit saplings and 400 kail sapling in the Kalal area. The plantation will contribute towards rich biodiversity in the region.
