JKCTEA apprises FM of their demands | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 4: JK Commercial Taxes Employees Association (JKCTEA) today met Finance Minister, Haseeb A Drabu regarding the rationalization of the pay scale of Guards, Sub-Inspectors, Inspectors and Ministerial Staff and creation of posts of section officers at par with Sr Stenographer with every Dy. Commissioner of the Department. According to press release, President of the organization, Nazir Ahmed bhat alleged that the Employees of Excise and Commercial Taxes Department have been ignored for the last 27 years in the matter of pay scales. "The fact of the matter is that our grades till 1962 were higher than that of Police/ Forest/Revenue Department", he said. He further apprised that the Excise and Sales Tax Guards was placed in 65-2-95 grade and Police Constable was placed in 45-2-85 Grade. Before 1982, the grades of Sub- Inspectors and Guards were at par with Sub-Inspectors and Guards of Forest Department. The Association continuously made so many of representations through proper channel for last 26 years but still nobody has considered their demands. They urged that Chief Minister and Hon'ble Finance Minister to address our main concerns and personally intervene in the matter for removal of pay anomaly. |
